The aim of this project is to increase the motivation of both learning and teaching in English.Nowadays teachers have difficulties in the management of the class.Students generally don’t have the interest in school subjects and they lack confidence in learning foreign language.Teaching language is not only in class but the process should continue outside,should be even in the neighbourhood,in another country.[\/vc_column_text][vc_toggle title=”read more” css=”.vc_custom_1686518850956{margin-top: 0px !important;border-top-width: 0px !important;}”]In education today no teacher use traditional methods and they all believe in the success of student- centered learning.Drama is one of the best tool used in teaching language,it builds confidence,helps concentration,improves communication skills,encourages students to cooperate,support their skills,develops their creativity.Creative people can view the things in new ways and from different perspective.They can act as in other person’s shoes and generate new ideas.There will be mobilities of students and teachers.Students will be chosen according to some criteria.English teachers who want to make such performances and have good cooperation skills in the organization will attend.There will be 4 students and +2 teachers from each participating organization.For every mobility we will choose different students and teachers so that we can provide more people to join.All the partners will decide about the play after meetings on Twinspace.They will adapt the play according to the number of players,language level,physical features of the students,English teachers will communicate with each other.They will make brainstorming and decide plot,distribution of characters,costumes,music, scene,scripts,decoration,all kinds of sound effects,lighting.Teachers will prepare posters of the play before each mobility.In each mobility,the hosting partner will be responsible for organizing performance.The guest students and teacher may also join drama,English,PE,art classes during the mobilities.The hosting partner will prepare some special activities for the guests such as visiting a fine art academy in the neighbourhood,going to opera performance,theatre,museums,historical sites.Students will be friends with each other,share their cultures and experiences,they can tell each other about their cultures and country.The hosting partner will invite the local press,municipality,governor,director of national education,etc.We can disseminate the project this way.They can announce the event in local newspaper, on website.The hosting partner will be responsible for the events,shows ,recording,announcement,dissemination.During the mobilities the leading country will introduce some drama techniques that are successfully implemented in language classes.Teachers will search for new methods,techniques,sources about using drama techniques and how to add them to the curricula.They will update or rewrite lesson plans based on using drama techniques for all the grades.Teachers will introduce the good examples to the guest teachers and they will also have the chance to observe the curricular and extra curricular activities in teaching language in the partner country. Drama will be an effective technique to teach vocabulary to young learners as a teaching technique that creates supportive intellectual and emotional environments and encourages them to take risks.Drama as a teaching technique promotes long-term retention of \u00a0ocabulary. Learners need to be actively involved in the learning of words. Students learn a new language to attain communication skills and express themselves.They learn the language to express themselves as individuals.Drama as a teaching technique motivates the students toward further learning and use of the new language as a means of communication .Teachers should be given opportunities to improve their understanding of drama and develop their confidence to be able to implement drama activities.Exchanging the good examples with the partners will help them to gain knowledge and skills about preparation of drama based lesson plans and implementation of drama based lessons within workshops, and collected under a \u2018drama materials file\u2019, which teachers can draw upon. Among results there will be:<\/p>\n

Objectives to achieve<\/h6>\n
We would like to improve academic performance at school via enhancing motivation of our students in language learning with use of drama as the student-centered teaching method. Through the project implementation teachers will be equipped with tools(good practices) to teach effectively.[\/vc_column_text][vc_toggle title=”read more”]Teachers will put aside traditional methods and start using innovative methods and techniques.Their point of view will change and they will build up their capacities and this will give them a new vision.They will have the chance to work with colleagues from other countries, so will exchange their sources,methods and techniques. Apart from the curricula they will be willing to try extra curricular activities in their classes. The recruitment process will assure proper teachers active in the project. The selected staff will take care of students’ recruitment(with stress on inclusion of fewer oportunities pupils as well as talentes ones).This project will also improve numerous skills of our students:decision making skills,teamwork, leadership,emphathy,cooperation with peers,coping with stress,creative thinking,using gestures and mimes etc.We also aim to strenghten their personal traits and their academic success thanks to these plays.Children can develop their multiple intelligences while learning language through drama.As there will be foreign students in the drama,participants will have the chance to cooperate with foreigners and they will learn about different cultures.Acting is the key in the project.But besides these plays all the
\npaticipants will organise a performance or folk dance, art show typical for their country,presentations about their customs and traditions. Gardner says multiple intelligence types must be taken into account in teaching
\nprocess.Students have different kinds of learning profiles(competence).Drama includes all of them.The more appealling method for the student’s type of intelligence,the more efficient the learning becomes.Students who take part in the performance will become more active and have the chance to improve their capabilities and skills.They will become more self-confident and aware of language importance. Another benefit of drama is providing a context to practice listening and speaking for learners and it makes language practice more meaningful than mechanical drills. Drama activity combines action and entertainment for students while achieving the teaching goals at the same time. We assume that at least 50% of students in the project will improve their academic performance by at least 25%,which could be measured by a test for start and at the end. We hope to increase students’class activity, so at least a third of project participants would take active part in class and extracurricular clubs. We assume that over 50% of teachers involved will become an etwinner and at least a few will participate in etwinning or local projects afterwards.
